Slow Darling is a boutique floral design studio in Seattle, WA specializing in intimate gatherings.
Stemmed from Sheena’s overwhelming love for nature, Slow Darling practices romantic, nature inspired floral design. Inspired by the earth’s seasons with sustainable and conscious intention, each design boasts its own unique story. Slow Darling combines texture, movement, and color theory to create one of a kind arrangements that defy time.
Born and raised in Norman, Oklahoma, Sheena spent most of her years in the sooner state. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Nutritional Sciences and worked a handful of years as a dietitian until she fell in love with working with flowers. Her journey started small and organically, as most good things do! Her floral experience began self-taught, then moved into a part time position arranging at a local grocer, and then became a freelance floral designer for a number of Dallas florists since 2017. Slow Darling came to fruition in 2019 and has been blossoming ever since. When Sheena isn’t slinging flowers, she enjoys quality time with her husband, son, sheepadoodle, and fluffy orange cat, tending to her garden, and seeing live music.
You can see her work featured in publications such as Martha Stewart, Style Me Pretty, 100 Layer Cake, Hey Wedding Lady, Ruffled Blog, Adorn Magazine, and Grey Likes | Explore these editorials through the badges below.
